1993 Bronco door lock actuator

Hi , I'll try this again. I posted a few weeks back on a problem I was having on my 1993 big Bronco and received no advice so I will try one more time . I had a problem with my right door lock actuator hanging loose in the door panel and making a lot of noise bouncing around. but the actuator was working. I pulled the door panel off and snapped the actuator back in place and reinstalled the door panel, I closed the door and the door lock switch would not raise high enough to unlock the door. The inside door handle would also not open the door and the door key would turn to lock but would not turn to unlock.. I tried several things to unlock the door [slim jim, coat hanger and lock pick ] to no avail. I finally had to remove the drivers seat and cut a hole in the door panel to unsnap the actuator and get it open. now my Question is : the door lock actuator is original and has two sets of pins on the actuator which i didn't realize before and I need to know which pins do I use to snap the actuator into the bracket??? The pins are two on each side 3/4 inch apart atop each other. anybody know which to use for sure so I don't lock myself out again. a comedy of errors. bil

Hi Bill,i know it's 6 days later, but i'll give an answer. I just saw a video and someone was showing how to take the bracket off a 94 bronco and the bracket was on the top pin towards the linkage side. I've unlocked a lot of doors jammed the same way as yours. A lot of doors when you lift or push the handle to open the door and the lever in the latch only goes half way when released and you lock it,that's when it jams. How i un-jam them when this happens is i take a camera scope and look for the linkage that moves the latch lever. I make push the lock button all the way down. Then i move the door handle until i see the lever moving with the scope. If i pull door handle and i see the lever move up,i release the handle and take a slim-jim and push the lever down and then i can un lock and open the door. The lever in the latch sticks half way because of lack of lubrication. I soak the latch down with wd40 and make sure the latch moves all the way down. I take a screw driver and push the latch on the door instead of shutting it to make sure it works before shutting door. I hope i made sense. If you already figured it out, hopefully it will help other people if they have the same problem.
