Fuel gauge for 1964 econoline

I need a fuel gauge for a 1964 econoline pickup.

I think the number is C1TZ-9280-A

Can anyone verify this number and is there a substitution?

They show up on eBay. All Econoline fuel gauges are the same from 1961-1967.

Does your's not work? Usually the problem is the sender unit in the fuel tank, not the gauge.

Gauge does not seem to work.
I have power from the tank to the gauge with no movement of the gauge.

C1TF-9280-A .. Dash Fuel Gauge / Obsolete

Despite what the clueless ebay seller claims (link in post #3), this was not used on any F100/350 pickup, because these F series trucks do not have a cab, windshield or any "back of cab" equipment!

NOS PARTS SOURCE in Olathe KS has 1 = 913-220-5746.

KAMA OBSOLETE PARTS in East Bethel MN has 5 = 763-434-0123.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but my issue relates. I just got a new gas tank off ebay for my 63 Econoline. It fits great and is very close to the original. My problem is with the new sending unit that came with the tank. It is not communicating to the fuel meter at all. I filled the tank and it is still sitting at empty.

I did as was suggested in this thread and grounded the wire that plugs into the sending unit and it went to full. So, my problem has to be with the sending unit right? Now, is the tank itself supposed to ground itself to the vehicle? The reason I ask is because I treated all the rust on the frame that was up above the tank and coated it with a rubberized spray all up in that pocket above the fuel tank. I also treated the straps and then painted them as well. So, it just may be that the tank is not actually touching any metal because of the rubber coating I sprayed all up in there. Could this be the problem? Do I need to somehow ground the tank to the frame? If so, what would be the best way? Just a thought. Let me know.

yes if gauge went to full. problem is the ground of lack off or the sending unit in the tank. Try running a ground wire to the tank where its bare steel maybe around the gas line out of sending unit.
