Welcome to FTE! Good to have another big truck here! What small diesels do you have available there to use in your truck? The 4BT Cummins are common diesels for swaps here. I installed a '84 300 Mercedes turbo diesel in my F4. They are popular engines here for the Jeep and Land Cruiser crowd.

small motor idea scrapped now looking for a power stroke or cummins i went to a post called through the windshield and listened to a video of a 48 and now i'm going to put some sound in it and more power

The hood on your truck is a '51, and the motor mounts are the 48-51 style. Do you have a title that indicates it's a '52? Sometimes the export models lag US styling changes a bit.

Pic in post #1 could have been taken here in Southern California, due to all the eucalyptus trees.

The Santa Fe R/R planted 10's of 1,000's of these trees, because they planned to use the wood for railroad ties.

Then they found out that the wood is useless, because it split when the spikes were installed.

Fruit and vegetable growers planted 10's of 1,000's of these trees for wind breaks, but when the wind blows, the limbs break off.

They were also planted on parkways in neighborhoods for ornamental reasons. Many a car windshield has been broken due to falling limbs.

When it catches fire, it gets very hot and burns very quickly, not something we need here in our usual hot and dry climate.

yes mate some of the trees here are just like that i have 250 acres that has been cut for railroad ties because its iron bark but most other trees will split and we have a couple of types of tree that we call widow makers cos they will drop limbs any time like a clod snap or over night some times people just dont do enough investigation into things our trees only survive because they can survive bush fire new Zealand did the same thing as the USA they chose blue gum and it never worked for the same reasons as yours they ended cutting them all down for firewood

That dark green paint behind headlamps and other faded green makes it look like military at one time. Did Ford build Military down under?
