Number Dummy Come On In
I completely forgot. I'm in need of some fasteners for my Bronco. I don't know the nomenclature. There's a window track that goes into the removable top for the rear glass. It's held into place with some fasteners and then the weatherstripping goes over it all. I have some pics that may or may not help. They are T shaped. Thanks.

I don't see any clips and there's no attaching parts listed for 422A36 or 42372.

They would be used to hold 42372 onto 42034. I took one off the donor vehicle and it was pretty rusted up on the threads and obviously didn't look like a typical nut/bolt setup. It's basically a nut and bolt, but instead of a bolt head it has that flat part that is in the second pic that's low profile as to not get in the way of the weatherstripping.
I'll go back at some point and pull the rest and maybe I can make them usable OR maybe the other, later year Broncos use the same fasteners. Thanks for checking it for me! |
Interesting.
I just replaced that rear glass run on my '95 a month or two ago. On mine, the glass run installed directly into the top without an additional channel piece in there. The new weather strip had a plastic pin on each side to lock it into the channel in the top and the rest was a press fit. I bought mine from JBG and it was a DC piece and is high quality. Maybe the clip /pin on yours separated from the weather strip and remained in the channel? Here is an exploded diagram of the 78/79 from LMC that doesn't show what you are looking for either. Truck Parts and Truck Accessories Here's the clip I was referring to that was the closet thing, looks wise, to what is in my top. They have what looks like a rubber piece in the middle of this clip, but if you took that out this would be pretty close. I'm not sure on the size of the two clips, though. https://shop.broncograveyard.com/198...ctinfo/35199B/ https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...df6d3afd93.jpg |
Clip
I have had 4 78 & 79 broncos and my current 79, and all 5 of them had/have that clip that hold the channel.

I need number dummy help too, my 92 bronco needs a engine control computer. On all the parts store websites, they all say to check factory number and mine is remanufactured and the number cannot be read. 92 bronco 5.8 automatic federal emissions. Thanks

I will look at it again. I had it out to check it a while back, and couldn't read the numbers, like they are faded or wiped away. Thanks
