Wish to add a hydraulic air compressor to PTO

Hello gentlemen,

My F-350 has a PTO with oil tank, filter, etc. all ready to go. I purchased this ex-service truck in December. Have no use for the PTO but since it’ll be used to tow a race car I thought it might be a good idea to have a mounted air compressor on it. Has anyone purchased and installed a hydraulic compressor? Is it just a line in and a line out? Any recommendations on a brand and model? I don’t need anything huge (not powering 1” air tools). Will strictly be for outputting air.

If anyone has a working used unit, I might be interested in buying it.

Hope you found what you are looking for. I am looking for the same. I want to run hydraulics for my trailer and an air compressor.

Actually I have not found one, and I’m in the process of removing the PTO completely. Since I’ll probably never use it I’m going to sell it.

What model pump is it?

It’s a Muncie. Not sure which exact model but my research showed there was two models used on 2005 chassis cabs. Mine is a 2WD with 5R110W trans.
