Loose Sport Paddle Style Mirror

The passenger side power paddle style or sport mirror on my 94 is a bit wobbly on the base. Does the torx bolt on the bottom have anything to do with this? I tried to turn it but it didn't want to move.

For my other 95 truck, the screw only held the mirror to the part connected to the truck. So I’d guess probably, but my truck was a little Frankensteined.. 315k meant it got fixed like ****, exterior parts were just thrown together so I’m not so sure in your case but mine yes.

It does, that is how you fold in mirror if you want to. That bolt gets rusted in place over time . Had to take my driver side off and turn it over and soak with penetrating oil to get it to move.

Whoops, I was incorrect, that screw and another to the inside of the truck from that one (have to take mirror off to see) hold mirror to base. If they are loose your mirror will flop around. Want to make sure I give you correct advice.

The base is firmly mounted on the door. So that isn't the issue. The problem is that the mirror is loose where it connects to the base.

The screws I mentioned are what hold mirror to base, if one or both are loose mirror will flop around on base.

That torx screw doesn't connect to the part that wobbles. I folded the mirror in and looked at it closer. Don't think there is a way to fix this one.
