I hope she says yes......

Finally tracked down the owner of the property with the Fridges I have been drooling over from the road. An elderly lady who just happens to want to clean out all the "Old Junk" her late husband collected over the years. She told me to go in and take a look and see if they were worth bothering with.... Well I did and I have bothered with much worse... Before I make an offer, I need to clear it with the wife... Wish me luck...

OBOY! Looka them parts!

Martin Torres 02-21-2018 06:29 PM

Exactly. And she said the “fixed up one” is home in the garage if I wanna look at it.

Fauj 02-21-2018 07:10 PM

Nice! Hopefully the wife will agree!

oldbleu 02-21-2018 10:36 PM

Bring them home and hide them under the bed!

If she sez "no", let me know......

willowbilly3 02-22-2018 08:19 AM

Great score on parts trucks!! I'd be all over those. And yeah, hurry up with pics of the fixed up one.

Looks like fun Martin. Make sure you scour the property for hidden gems in the weeds.

Actually I agreed to (well he wife says I agreed to or else...) give the '58 to my daughter but in return I get another project. I am thinking a F250 Fridge would be a nice project.... Stock on the outside and creature comforts under the hood and in the cab.....

willowbilly3 02-22-2018 02:07 PM

I love my 59 F250 and drive it almost every day. But then I like it because it's an old truck, smells and drives like an old truck. If I need comfort, I just take the Gran Marquis or Super Duty.

willowbilly3 02-22-2018 05:07 PM

Martin, just going back through the pictures and OMG, that F250 would be an ambitious project, basically a frame and shell. I know you are no stranger to projects and do nice work but, well I guess my lazy side just kicks in. I mean, I bought my 59 F250 4x4 complete, as parked, for less than a grand, and then got the engine running.

Martin Torres 02-26-2018 10:42 AM

I got the ok to see how much they will cost. It's not a "go ahead" but it's not a no. I may need a helicopter to get them out though. They are surrounded by dismantled farm equipment. May have to rent a 4 wheel steer extended boom forklift.

Fridges are great and all, but I want pics of the stuff in the top left of the first pic :)
