88 F250 Front Bumper

I've seen where people have put newer bumpers on the OBS powerstrokes, has anyone done it or seen any older trucks, like the 88 F250 with a newer bumper on it? I have a truck I bought for my company and I was kicking around the idea of putting a newer bumper on it.

Ive seen it, its a waste of money unless you actually need a new bumper.

IE- Most of the people I have seen do it do NOT have a real need for them, and often spend more than the truck is worth to do this.

Unless this truck is yours forever and 100% rust free your wasting time and money.

The bumper is drooping down really bad. And I can find the newer bumpers for next to nothing.

What do you mean by "newer"? Ninth gen bumpers are different than eight gen, and are obviously "newer". I have seen somewhere where someone modified a Super Duty bumper on to a ninth gen truck. Is this what you are talking about?

Yes, I mean like newer superduty bumpers. I saw a post where someone swapped a 2011 bumper onto a 93 and it looked good. I didn't know if anyone had seen where someone did it to an older truck like an 87 or an 88. Cause I know they are slightly different than the mid 90s.

They aren't different enough to change the process at all. Found this place on google.

Superduty bumpers do not belong on 9th gens, just sayin.

08+ bumpers are TINFOIL. Bump something and it will crush into the truck

My ol 89 was that way, sagging and drooping, bumper was fine. Pulled bumper off and worked the brackets over that's where your problem is. They are easily bent and just as easily straightened.
