2018 Build incentives

So I think I’m going to build my 2018 F250. My question is I’m seeing a lot of 2018’s discounted 7-8k with nice options. Can I get the same discounts when ordering?

You should be able to get just as good of a deal when your order a truck as you would from buying something on the lot. A lot of your final price can depend on incentives and the incentives don't change if you were to order instead of buying something in stock.

Any current rebates like Delivery Allowances, Costco, etc that would be placed on a vehicle coming off a lot will also apply to a vehicle when it’s ordered in that time frame. Plus any further bartering you do. If the rebates happen to change when you take delivery, you will get the cheaper of the two - regardless if your build time is a week or six months.

If it happens to matter to you, you may want to consider how Ford is applying these discounts for 2018 trucks in January already. 2019 trucks will be available for order and showing up on the lots in the blink of an eye.

The Costco fine print says the invoice discounts apply weather you buy off the lot OR order the unit. I can't wait for the '19 specs to decide on a '18 or '19,

Everything I've seen has pointed to very few changes for '19. Maybe a couple of color option changes, but nothing significant.

The dealer must lock in the rebates. This is an extra step in a different program (it is not automatic).. If they don't, you are not guaranteed the current rebates.

Same thing I’ve read. No major changes until 2020. I want the ultimate package with led quad headlights with moon roof and it’s hard to find this option in the 6.2. I found a leftover 17 discounted 7,300 with a sticker of 62k so this is 12 percent off which I feel is good deal other than being a year older and losing a year of warranty.

warranty starts on the day the vehicle is purchased when new.

Just stick to your guns. Don't let the dealership try and say you can get good pricing on a custom build. A lot of them try to do that. Frustrating.

I just found that out this morning after speaking with the sales rep which helps makes this deal a lot better!

i was told no guarantee what incentives would be available if i ordered a 2018, so i got a 2017 off of the lot. discounts and incentives worth upwards of 10,000. that's a lot to not know for sure.

So there shouldn't be any difference in ordering vs a dealer finding what I want somewhere else -

Can't wait - only a few months until I can pull the trigger.

They lied.

Dealer trading can be more difficult. First, the dealer you are dealing with does not get the hold back. The hold back goes to the original ordering dealer. Also, the dealer it is at may ask for more then 1 vehicle as a swap to do the deal.

So chances are, you will get a better deal with an in stock vehicle then a dealer trade BUT a custom order vs an in stock should be the same deal.

I don't know what state you're in, but Holiday Ford in Whitesboro Texas has been advertising 2017 King Ranches for $61K.
