My truck feels small

Driving down the highway I am often passed by F150 class trucks and they seem to be taller than mine even without lifts. And when I overtake other duallies, especially of the Dodge persuasion, they seem to me to be much wider and sturdier than mine.
That said, all those Dodge duallies look quite old and beat.

Does anybody else feel like they are driving a small truck?

My 17 is 4x4 and to answer your question, no. I look down at any half ton truck.

Drew_SD 01-23-2018 07:34 PM

Nope. I look down on all other trucks w/o lift or levels.. I'm SRW 4X4, what trim, wheels, etc is your truck?

Buliwyf 01-23-2018 07:47 PM

2wd? Because I've never seen a 4wd Super Duty shorter than a 150.

I know what you mean. I often lose my truck in parking lots. Unable to see it from a far. It is nice being able to park in any parking spot without sticking out, though.
I often ask myself why I never get complemented on how nice a truck I have.

Lol! Got to watch parking beside those Smart for 2's!

Yeah... those F150s tower over me in traffic. ;)

When I first bought my truck back in September it was easy to find it in the local WalMart parking lot. There were lots of trucks but the '17 SD was easy to spot. Even parked well past the congestion. Now, I see two or three '17 SDs every time I go. And somebody in my neighborhood now has a white CCSB XLT 4x4. I often pass it on the road coming in/out of the area.

Nope not after shoe-horning it into the garage.

cause you have an f150 cab, even though i think the older cabs were smaller than current 17+

do dodge or cheby 1500s share cabs with their bigger sisters?

Clubwagon 01-23-2018 09:43 PM

The '17 Crew Cab is something like 4 inches longer than the previous cab.

Yes, GM and Dodge only have one cab.

someday 01-23-2018 09:48 PM

oh...i was thinking that now that the superdutys use the bigger 150 cabs, the 150s had the biggest cabs at least in the 1/2 ton segment. so who has the biggest cab besides the dodge mega?

Garage?! Sadly my bone stock CCSB will never fit in my garage. Shoot my 150 never fit either. My garage is for the CJ-7 and whatever my wife drives. :-/

Mine is CCLB it takes up 1 and a quarter parking spaces. I wish I could say it felt small to me, I mean it doesn’t feel gigantic but definitely not small.

My pre-17 RC was longer than the 17, at least it feels that way. I used to be able to put a suitcase behind my 15, not now.
