I like the looks of it. I don’t know if I can hold out to the end of 2018 to see if it shows up. Starting the look for a truck now. Thinking a Tacoma with a 4 banger would be good. I put 45-50k miles a year on a truck.

By the way, here is a new blog about mechanic and cars - https://customrigsmag.com/

I too was waiting on it but have decided to go Tacoma again. The Ranger looks great but I don't see anything on HP, or a date of availability that tells me it will be out soon.

HP is gonna be around 300 based on other vehicles that use the 2.3 Ecoboost engine. Production is supposed to start in late 2018 and dealers get Rangers in early 2019. Obviously if you need a vehicle *now* it makes sense to buy an alternative because rebates/discounts ain't gonna be great on day one of availability, and my own preference is to wait at least a few months and better yet a year to see if there are any teething problems with a new vehicle. The Ranger has been available in other countries, but the US drivetrain will be a new addition, and the Wayne, Michigan plant will be a new facility for building Rangers.

I was waiting for the Bronco myself but have made other plans for the near term because I am assuming the Bronco is a full year behind the Ranger.

Yep, I purchased the Tacoma today. Makes no sense waiting for something that keeps changing availability dates, may have problems the first year and no idea of price.

According to all the meat sticks on the Tacoma forums you’ll be able to sell that Tacoma for what you paid anyway so when the Ranger does show up and curb stomps the Tacoma you wont be out anything :-X22

Best to buy now if you need a vehicle because with all the tariffs getting slapped on stuff, prices will go up significantly in the not too distant future.
