Fox 2.0 shocks
 

For those that have them do y’all change all 4 at the same time? Thinking about the rears first, have y’all noticed a difference when done this way?

I've got the Fox 2.0's, and changed all four when I did my BDS lift. The truck rides better lifted with the shock upgrade then it did stock. I had the Ranchos (FX4-equipped) prior. I would definitely do all four.

I was thinking about just swapping out the stock shocks for the Fox 2.0's. Do they do a direct swap or do they only come in a lift kit? I normally do the Bilstein 5100's and have always been happy, but I was looking to change it up.

You can do the factory replacement 'size' for the 2.0's, these will work with height adjustments (levels) up to 2".

Ive only done my rears thus far. Its been about 2 months and the empty bed chatter during driving has reduced quite a bit for me. I will get around to the fronts whenever I have more free time.

I replaced all 4 with the foxes. Rides a bit better, I wouldnt say it was a huge change.

I generally wait until my stock shocks have 40k miles on them and they aren’t functioning at all. This time I figured why wait?

yea i have 2000 miles on mine (fx4 ranchos).. figured i would change the rears first then the fronts.

I have not replaced my shocks as of yet. I did call Fox and asked them directly about changing the shocks without any type of lift or leveling. He said absolutely no problem, BUT he did advise to check back late February or early March because they are calibrating and retooling the shocks to be plug and play replacement with no additional adapter AND will be calibrated to better match the lighter truck/bed since the aluminum body and bed changes by Ford for 2017+. The current Fox 2.0 were designed before the model change by Ford. Please don't take just my word and call Fox directly if this does not sound correct to you. It still can be done and is done all the time but he said if I wasn't in a hurry to wait because in his mind he thought it would be worth it.

Great info on the re-design from Fox. Just goes to show that they're actively working on making improvements. Sucks for those of us that already have them. With respects to the ride, I find the ride is a little less aggressive / harsh now, not so much though where it feels pillow'y.

It will just be a revalve. you could get the specs from Fox, and do it yourself when they need to be serviced/rebuilt.
