EGR Contemplation

I am thinking about pulling the trigger on the EGR delete

I've seen both opinions that it is, and that it is not possible to leave the coolers in place, and replace just the valve with an elbow. I still think I want to leave the coolers in place, just blocked off.

I have no plans at this time to go the wastegate route.

So I'm hoping to get a solid answer on that part, and then I'm also looking for recommendations. From what I gather the FlowPro doesn't fit well at all.

I would also likely be changing out the either the cold side or both intercooler pipes at this time as well. (Is there a benefit to swapping the hot side?)

If it's any help I left coolers in place and went block off plate route. This was several years ago and no issues. Few reasons I did this....it's way easier lol, and lower EGR cooler in place also helps support the crossover pipe...less chance of it breaking at joint. Also in colder weather....extra heat from EGR cooler keeps EBP sensor from freezing.

As far as leaving coolers in place and just replacing the EGR valve with an elbow.....I think some have done this......You still need block off plates for the EGR coolers though.

thanks, I already have some block off plates, ended up hesitating on installation after the bolts wouldn't break loose after being treated with PB Blaster for a week.

Then after hesitating I read that you couldn't remove the elbow without doing the full delete.
