Srod shifter saddle replacement
 
I can't find anything on replacing the shifter saddle/bushing on this transmission if anyone has done it could you please chime ln is it simple as pull shifter out snap old part out snap new part in or is there a certain procedure to it ???

1981 F100 4.9L with RUG SR-OD Single Rail 4 Speed Overdrive.

7K453 nylon bushing is shown at upper right in pic.

AFAIK, all you have to do is remove the shift lever, remove the broken pieces (a common problem!) of the old bushing, replace with new.

D9BZ-7K453-B (replaced D9BZ-7K453-A) .. Gearshift Dampener Nylon Bushing / Obsolete

1979/82 Granada; 1979/83 Mustang/Capri/Fairmont/Zephyr; 1980/83 F100/250.

Good to hear you got it fixed but do tell us how as Bill list the part as " Obsolete".
Where did you find a new one or did you make something to "fit in"?

Found 1 on eBay just searched srod shifter saddle and it came up

it was the 1.5" srod shifter saddle i put it in with the square part on the right hand side when you are facing dash hope this helps someone
