Where is the idle adjustment on a 2008 6.4 l turbo diesel?

I don’t think there is one as everything is fly-by-wire controlled by computer.

From what i can see it has the EGR deleted. It is running 950 to 1000 rpm.

Idle speed is computer controlled.

When I bought my truck 08, it was allready dpf deleted. It idled at 950-1000 and it was unmanageable in parking lots etc.

When I researched the cause it all came down to the sensors/probes in the exhaust.

I crawled around and found that I was missing the furthest back probe.

I bought and installed it into the harness where the connector was empty and my idle dropped to 600-625. All good.

Is your dpf removed?? This could be your problem regardless.

Computer controlled and influenced by tune - some tuners had high idles.

What is a few of the best tuners out there for the 6.4 diesel? I did not get a tuner when i bought this truck used and there is probably no way to tell which tuner was used is there?

I have a Mini Maxx and i’m Pleased with it.

- connect the first time to select make and model
- connect the second time to program
- put it back in the box
