I plan on doing my first one around 1500 and switch to full synthetic. While under warranty - I won't have many miles but will still change out at the 6 month interval. No biggie to me, I really enjoy performing my own services on all my vehicles. After warranty is up, I will change oil & filter 5k intervals.

I change at 1,000 miles.. but today's engines are made in a much cleaner environment. with much better machining processes.....

I have been using synthetic oil since 1974... in everything ....
its the life blood of an engine...

my opinion and only my opinion..

but for my new generator.. I replace the engine oil at 1 hour of use.. not made the same.. and Yes to Synthetic oil.

I did my first change at 5000 miles. I switched to synthetic and I change every 5k. I'm at almost 24k on the truck now.

I did my first at 5K. Switched to synthetic and now change it every 7-10k.

Did mine at 1000 miles also, with the same Motorcraft oil and filter as it came with. Then 5000 miles there after.
