Hood replacement options - 1962 F-100
The truck I just bought has a hood that was modified. Id like to go back to an original look. Are aftermarket hoods available or do I need to locate used?
Thanks! |
I believe used is your only hope right now. Not reporoduced yet as far as I know.

As Chad mentioned, not aware of anyone reproducing a steel hood for the slicks, but at least one outfit has a fiberglass version, albeit a bit spendy.
Version 1 is pin-on version 2, for an extra $100 is bolt on...... http://autofab.com/i-11859817-1965-1...tock-hood.html http://autofab.com/images/F142675099.jpg Inner structure on bolt on hood http://autofab.com/images/F142675100.jpg |
What was done to modify the hood?

They added a sporty looking hood scoop type shape . . . Would prefer the stock appearance.

Hey Kirkb,
Where are you located? I have a hood from a 66 if interested, $50 and pay freight. I build many crates for my in my line of work so no problem there. If interested shoot me a zip code and I can price shipping. Aaron |
