How rare is a regular 6.2 F150?

As the title states, just wondering if I'll be able to find an F150 (not a Raptor) with the biggest stock engine ever available

I had to drive 500 miles one way to get mine. I think in certain parts of the country they are very rare. My local Ford dealer had never seen one until they saw mine. I'm known as the guy with the big motored F150.....lol

Nice! How do you like it compared to the 5.0?

You just have to look for a higher end truck, you probably won't find it in anything less than a Lariat or high end FX4. Truthfully mine the way it is optioned according to the dealer is 1 of 1 (was told that after I bought it) and it is the motor making it rare. Mine also was sold new in New Brunswick Canada. Not a lot in the US because it would screw up the Fleet CAFE Standards.

I got lucky finding my 14 fx4 3 years ago. Built in Feb. Sat on the lot for 8 months at a dealer 30 or 40 miles from me. I'm sure they were more than happy to trade with my local place. Odds are pretty slim of finding one. Unless someone gets sick of feeding it. Keep looking and you may find one.

I like mine, just get tired or explaining to 5.0 owners on how to get them to sound the same.
I found mine on Car Gurus and it was the first time I had seen the 6.2 in anything other than a Raptor, Limited or Harley truck. Mine was Special ordered from the stuff I found on it. I didn't want a Black truck but I wanted the 6.2 so I gave in :-X06

I just found 3 on Car Gurus from a Harley to a Platinum, and even had a FX4 thrown in.

I suspect one reason they are rare is because the 6.2 was 2500 extra. Pretty expensive option

Only $2000 Canadian in 2013 acording to the window sticker, but even then I would have opted for it if I were Ordering the truck new :-X06

All depends on your location, seems in AK a pretty good amount of them were sold. I've seen them in XLT and up trim levels (13/14 only for XLT). Currently a few for sale in my city of 300k.

I've toyed with the idea of buying a second one just because I really love the drivetrain and they are semi rare. Can't say enough good things about my 2011 6.2 it continues to impress me daily.

I live about 45 minutes away from the Super Duty plant, so I see 6.2 F-250s all the time. But I have only seen one 6.2 F-150 with my own eyes. It was a Limited model I think, and it was at the dealership where I bought my truck. They had found it at auction somewhere and hauled it into the dealership.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I'll just stay on the lookout. Only 6.2 trucks near me at the moment are Raptors. They feel like a showoff truck to me. I'd rather have a regular truck lol.

Whoops, didn't think of location being such a factor. Then again I live 20-30 minutes from Dearborn. Keep looking and you'll find one. They are one wicked ride and the last of an era.

Learn something new everyday, if I can find one, I'll own it for my next vehicle purchase. :D Glad I stumbled into here.

What kind of truck are you looking for, color, 4X4?For a little drive there are a few around, don't know how far you are willing to go.
