New seat for 67 F100
 

As my kids get older I'd like to start driving my 67 around a lot more, and they want to ride in it too! Currently I have 2 lap belts and a seat that's getting pretty soft. I know there are mounting holes in the top of the cab for shoulder belts but would really like to have a center shoulder belt as well.

I've read that any bench up through 1996 will bolt right in but haven't found one with a center shoulder belt.

Looking around EBAY I noticed a couple 2nd row seats from vans and trucks that have either an integral shoulder belt or all 3 shoulder belts permanently mounted to the seat. I know putting them in would require some fabrication but what do you guys think of adding something like this: Any downfalls or am I missing anything?

1st off those seats look too wide to fit. And as tall as they are, they'd be up your back window a bit.

Aw Jeff just think how cool this truck would look with those seats mounted
in his ride, once he removes the doors after finding out they won't closes.

So it's keep the seats remove the doors is great fun like having early Bronco

Yup, truck is at my dad's 300 miles away and he finally got me measurements this AM. Turns out, at least according to his measuring skills, the cab is about 55 inches wide and these are 62. And to think I was worried they might be a couple inches too narrow!

Those measurements are wrong. A bumpside cab is much wider than 55 inches.

I ran out and measured. You could go as wide as 64-65" but that doesn't leave room for separate seatbelts.
My daily driver driver 04 Gmc truck cloth seats have integrated shoulder belts and are 3pc with large folding console. They are 60" wide.
Another thing to consider is the higher the seat back, the less rearward travel if you need lots of leg room.

F100today customized his seat. You could further that customization and weld a bar across the back and use a 3 or 5 point harness....

This is what I did when I installed a bench seat out of a 1991 F150 Supercab. But this created a lap belt. Not shoulder belt.

Same thing I did. Bought a universal seat belt from the parts store and bolted it in. Although if you want to get fancy, buy a matching reproduction seat belt to have all 3 the same.

from what i understand. the seats from a 1990,s f-150 will almost be a direct bolt in . you will have to do some fab. work to get the seat to slide front to back , but if you are redoing a truck like this that should not be to much of a problem. the 1996 Ford f-150 that i had a few years ago had factory bucket seats in it and a center seat that was a console that you could flip down the back that made it into a arm rest. from the factory it had a seat belt for some one to sit in the middle although it was only a lap belt.

Here is what I'm putting in my 67, it's from a mid-90's truck. All I had to do was change the tracks from the original seat, they pretty much bolt right up to the new seat.

Is "pretty much" a matter of switching the tracks from the old seat to the replacement? Just wondering about how the tracks will bolt onto the newer seat.
