Here it is October already. Turn the A/C off and change the furnace filter, Halloween will be here before we know it. Put your spooky face on and go collect some loot. With no further ado, post away. :)

Hope we have a warm October like last year.

Was 50° this morning but recovered nice to 77°.

Still no rain.

It's pouring down up here since yesterday..

Its so dry here the grass is being pinched out of the ground.

I'm surprised with all the rain we have had here this year the grass isn't growing..

The decreased sunlight triggers plant life to stop growing. Won't be long and we'll be raking leaves.

I've only mowed my lawn about 4 times this year and a lot of it didn't really need it. There was only a short time in August where it turned a little brown..leaves are starting to fall here but I have no trees in my yard but do get the leaves from the neighboring yards..

I have two large oak trees and a small pear tree in the front yard.

I used to have 2 30 foot tall spruce trees and half dozen or so Birch trees but cut them down. The Birches were too close to the house and the spruce trees were dying..

Mowed every week could have mowed more when it was raining more.

We removed the oak and pear that were in the back yard this Spring. the pear was too close to the house and the oak was leaning towards the house.

My garden tractor is still on it's second fill of gas...

I enjoy cutting down trees, especially the real tall ones that shake the ground when they fall..

I've already burned 7gal of gas this year mowing grass. Time to fill my cans again.

Went to the market to restock the cupboards...LOL

That has to be done every now and then..

Yeah been over a month since the last time..LOL

We went to the orchard today. Met two of Patty's sisters and dad there. Kyle wasn't here to break the wallet. He will be pissed. Saw a neighbor there and their daughter was already into his wallet for $100.

You eat out a lot Don.

You must really stock up...lol

You lucked out Rick.. Kyle would have stocked up seeing he has the big car bill to pay now...}>

Not as much as I used to..LOL

Yeah I usually do then just pick up milk or minor things at the local CVS if needed

It's been 2 years or more since we ate out in a restaurant ..

We always pick things up when we go to Dryden where we like to go just to get out of town . Won't happen as often once the weather turns sour..

That must be a pain.. Does the ice cream melt before you get it home...}>

We didn't buy a fancy car so why should we support them?

Maybe Patty will wake up one of these days as to what he's doing.
