Hi Guys, Just picked this up today. Is this the right place to talk about it or is there a specific page for Marmon Herrington conversions?

Anybody have a good photo of the worn dash tag? Do they make reproductions?

Nice score!!! Keep us posted on this gem. I don't know on the dash tag but I use a local graphics place a lot for that kind of stuff. If you can just find a picture, even online, they can make it on vinyl. Are the other trucks in the background yours too?

Thanks. Yes they are. I need a gauge panel that doesn't have a hole in it and a proper Ford big truck front bumper as a starter if anyone has them for sale.

Are you sure it's a '59?
With the round parking lights and the hood side emblems it appears to be a '58.

Judging by everything I see It's a 1959.

I have a decent gauge cluster available, It's the 7 gauge version.

59 truck with a 58 hood and side emblems? Or did they carry the 58 hood over with the round park lights on the big trucks? thanks

I think a couple of things might be going on with this truck although I'm not sure. Since it is a 4x4 I think the rules are different and it's going to hold more true to the big trucks that do not always align with the annual changes on the pickups, but that is just a guess. Dodge did this too sometimes in the 50s. I thought the hoods were the same in 58 and 59 anyhow. I'm not knowledgeable enough about Fords to know about the badges year to year. I wish it had the Super Duty stuff on it and a hood scoop. Being a 750 and 4x4 you would think it would qualify as a SD, unless that is just a trim package like Custom. The Title says 1959

Forget the conventional f100 year identification rule book, it does not apply to F700-F1100.

Same hood f700-f1100 and t700-t1100, 57-60. It's a longer hood than the smaller trucks. "Super Duty" was the engine offered in 58 and up 401, 477, 534. If you had a smaller engine it was not the super duty. Starting in 1960, the badges were added to the hood. the hood scoop was available in 57 through 60, mostly on the super duty engine trucks. All 1960 super duty trucks had the scoop. The hood scoop is NOT rare or hard to find. There are always a few on eBay as Pontiac purchased tons of them from ford for their cars. Also ford used the scoop on big trucks until 1986. Also, the super duty badges are not all that rare. They were used on many big trucks through 69. If you want to clone a 1960 you will also want the 1960 only crest on the front of the hood which is a direct swap.



The 59 f750 you have has the ford crest used 57-59, and the side badges used 58-60. It also has the grille used 59-60 and It has the park lights used 57-60. Your turn signals are original and used 57-60.

The 7th gauge is air pressure.

Your wheel lug pattern is (for tubeless) 56-63 ford-only. Hard to find the 22.5 tubeless.

Thanks for all the detailed info. Clears some things up. Even though I like the 60 and Super Duty stuff I probably won't add it and try to keep the truck original. Maybe if I found a really good big motor to transplant I might consider it.

Someone stole the radiator out of it for scrap value so I need one. Any idea how special that is? I imagine it's bigger than a pickup truck radiator. I'd like to find an original that was in working order.
