Traded in my 2015 SE
 

I loved my all wheel drive 2015 SE 1.6 Ecoboost (with 43K miles) but I wanted a new car and could not pass up 0% interest financing so I traded it in this week on a new 4wd 2017 SE 1.5 Ecoboost. Other than the grille treatment, cruise control layout, dual climate control, LED taillights, and E-brake Assist it is very similar to my 2015. My 2015 was Deep Impact Blue and the new one is Ruby Red Metallic. Performance seems about the same with the smaller engine. Gas mileage with the 2015 was 28.3. So far, only 22.2 on the 2017. :-X0A6

That's a big decrease of fuel economy- is that because your foot is heavier on the new one?

I think I'm still driving the same. I'm hoping it's because it is a new engine. You never get as good a gas mileage on a brand new engine as you do with one with more miles on it. I'm thinking the mileage might pick up as I get more miles on it. Only a couple of hundred on it so far. I will report back here after I've accumulated some miles on it. I hope the decrease in engine size is not a cause for the decreased mileage. That would not be good.

Anyone else with a 2017 have any gas mileage figures?

It had 179 on it when I picked it up at the dealer and a little over 300 now. Since I had no idea how the 179 was driven, I reset the mileage calculation when I picked it up. :)

27.2 mpg 2017 Escape SE FWD 2.0L twin-scroll.

I got my wife a 2017 S with the 2.5 its got just over 4000 miles now at the last 3 fill ups were 28.36 ,28.21 , 28.47 mpg.

Those are the figures I was looking for. Maybe mine will come up in time. It has crept up to 23 now. :)

yeah you gotta figure you have to put a few more miles on there.

Mine is at 104000 miles and when the wife and I go to florida from texas its nice and flat...can get a good 29-30 on the highway if we don't get crazy on I-10.

Feeling a bit better today about my gas mileage. Drove a few hundred miles over the past couple of weekends and now have 700+ miles on the Escape. Mileage as of yesterday was 32.6. :)
