Weak air conditioning
Hi guys,
I'm renting a new Expedition here in Texas. The air conditioning cannot keep up with the heat. And this car is white...imagine if it were black! Anybody else have this problem? I'm renting different trucks to decide which I want to buy. So far, the Expedition fails due to weak AC. I'm going to rent a, gasp, Suburban next. |
My 2016 will freeze you out in our 100+ degree, high humidity climate. Would definitely not rule out Expedition for that reason. Assume it will work. Test drive at a dealer and prove it to yourself.
Add the Ecoboost and you will be a happy camper. Here's mileage for a 17 mile trip home from the office. Keep in mind I was driving as absolutely easy as possible, never exceeding 55. But this was a combination of highway and fast two-lane. Best I could ever do with my 2001 was about 24 mpg. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...ccb27686bd.jpg |

We had a rented '17 in Vegas when it was 115 there in June of this year... dark grey, too!
A/C was perfect at 100+. At 110+, it really helped if we could be moving 20 mph or so. It still worked below that and even sitting still, but it chilled better once we rolled. Bought a '16 Navigator right after that, a/cis refridgeration! |

Something is wrong, I would call the place you rented it and discuss it with them.
