Good Eye, Its a 1950 Flat Fender Willys front end. I am going to weld the whole thing together and make it into a tilt front end because the truck is about 8 feet tall when its all put together and it will be a lot easier to work on the engine when I'm standing on the ground next to it rather than having to climb on the front of it and open the hood.

Damn....What would it be like to be in the right place at the right time?

JRB64 thanks. the first Jeep that my Dad bought was a 1943 Willy,s. he only paid $400.00 for it. so ya it was a little "ruff". my Mom still says to this day that the people who saw us towing it home where thinking to their self. What,s wrong with those people. that thing belongs in a jy. i say no. the looks we got where looks of envy. about 2 months ago my cousin bought a 1946 Willy,s CJ-2A. complete og. drive train had already been rebuilt. he only paid $1700.00 for it. the Jeep that i restored for my Dad afew years ago was a 1979 CJ-5 258/T-18 4 spd. i would rather have it instead of the new stuff.

I have and have been selling parts for these trucks for over ten years. I have more parts than I care to think about. I sell on line, package and ship. Occasionally I get a local buyer (Very Rare) but on some occasions a buyer will ask what I have, I tell them come over and see, 99.9% of the time they just want what they are buying. Ok, their loss. I've had two that's right (2) people in ten years actually come over to look. Both times I have given them things for their truck's that they could not believe. Both times they reached for their wallets to pay me for the extra parts. I have them, they need them and I don't mind giving, especially when I don't have to ship.
Case in point, (make that three people who came by) In the 61-66 forum I met a guy from New Zealand, he needed a part but also said he would be in So. Cal. on such and such date. I told him stop by and pick up what he wanted and also see my inventory. Needless to say he filled up his rental truck with parts he can't get at home and seeing how he had a crate at the docks to ship stuff home with, I happily obliged. I literally gave him stuff that I did not want to ship, he was happier than a pig in mud.
Sometimes it's just meeting people face to face that gets what you want and more.

JRB64 several years ago my Uncle had a 54 Willy,s station wagon . it was all stock ran and drove. but the breaks where toast. when they would take it to their place on the lake . they would just use the big oak tree in their front yard to stop. he said that he would sell it to me for $400.00. but i was not working at the time so i thought i did not have the extra money to spend. looking back i should have bought it anyway.
