Announcing 2017 and 2018 All-Ford GTG's - Regardless of Forum

You may know that I hang out in the 1980 - 86 Bullnose forum. But I want to tell all Ford truck gurus about the get-together on September 16th this year at my place in Skiatook as this isn't just a Bullnose GTG or even an FTE GTG - it is open to all Ford truck gurus regardless of forum or message board. In fact, I'm advertising it on others like Fordification. If you need directions just PM me.

We need the "locals" to show up 'cause the out-of-staters are coming in droves. :) At this point I believe we'll have the following, and others are considering it:
  • Chris/ctubutis from Denver
  • David/1986F150Six from Alabama
  • Bill/NumberDummy from CA
  • Jonathan/Ford F834 from Arizona
  • Luke/Luke76 from Kansas
  • Eli/Smokenchoken from Kansas
  • And whomever I've forgotten :-down
And, then there's NEXT YEAR - September 15th! To this point Ken Blythen from New Zealand, Oz Econoline from Australia, and Hardy from Germany have said they plan to be here. And we are still 14 months away! We may have to rename this the All-Ford Truck International GTG :-jammin

If you can come please comment on here so I can ensure we have enough room. Thanks, and hope to see you two months from today. :-X22

Well, things are changing rapidly on the GTG front. Talked with a friend of my while we put a 1981 power steering bracket off Dad's truck on his 351M'd 1978 F100. He runs a welding supply house and had just re-welded my drawbar seriously - wow is he good. Anyway, here are the changes we've come up with:
  • The actual GTG will be held at the Skiatook Church of Christ
  • We will have a truck show. I know there's to be a 2017 SuperDuty there, and I can take my three. And Paul with his diesel'd Bullnose, and Cash with Carlos, and David with his '86, and....
  • Welding: My friend will host a welding seminar, with welding demos, cutting demos and competition, and Miller is supposed to be there with things to show
  • Tim Meyer will bring some goodies to show as well as tell people what his shop is all about and hold a Q&A
  • We will have a swap meet, so bring your goodies to sell/swap
  • My paint/body man will be there and maybe he can bring some of his work to show - in addition to Dad's truck
  • And we may even have a concessions stand
But, nothing is in concrete yet. So, if you can think of additional things to do, or changes to what we have planned, please let me know. We want to use this year's GTG as a springboard to next. And, having never done anything of this magnitude I can use the HELP! :-wink
