Anyone ever have a visor that won't switch on
Anyone have a visor that won't switch on the vanity light when it's pulled down?
Just wondering if it's a simple problem to fix. |
I think there are around 3 screws that hold the visor on. Take it off and unplug the visor. You can then get a 9v battery and jam some wires into the visors connector. Open the vanity cover thing with the battery hooked up and see if the light comes on. If it does, you know your not getting power to the visor. If it does not, you likely have a bad bulb or a bad switch.
I considered replacing the vanity lights in mine with LED's awhile back (everything else is LED now), but I couldn't figure out how to actually get to the bulb without destroying the visors. |
Thanks for that. I'll pull it tonight. As for the led's they are super easy to replace, having just done both sides only to find this one wasn't just burned out bulbs. I just used a very small screwdriver to allow me to pop them out from the bottom by flexing the cover slightly. Just use enough force to get them to pop up and out. They snap right back in.
