Where is 2016 fuel funnel stored?
 

Bought a used 2016 Explorer XLT and don't see a fuel funnel for adding gas/additives to the tank anywhere. Maybe the previous owner removed it, but where should it be found when the vehicle is delivered new?

Look in the spare tire compartment.

on our 13 it was clipped to the underside of the top lip of the spare tire well in the left corner near the rear of the car...
it's so well hidden, it's even hard to describe where it is !

and you use it so rarely, you may forget where the funnel is, like I did :)

Do not use aftermarket funnels; they will not work with the capless fuel system and can damage it. The included funnel has been specially designed to work safely with your vehicle.
When filling the vehicle’s fuel tank from a portable fuel container, use the funnel included with the vehicle.
1. Locate the white plastic funnel in the spare tire compartment.
2. Slowly insert the funnel into the capless fuel system.
3. Fill the vehicle with fuel from the portable fuel container.
4. When done, clean the funnel or properly dispose of it.
Extra funnels can be purchased from your authorized dealer if you choose to dispose of the funnel.

I found my wife's in the rear side compartment next to the 3 rd row seats

I bought one at the dealer, less than $6. I keep that one in the garage.
