65 Door Panel Trim Clips - Where to get them
 

1965 Custom Cab door panel trim clips like the pic below. They are not like the common type on Mustangs etc.

Any one:
- know where to find
or
- have some used to offer

378586-S32 .. Door Trim Panel Moulding Retaining Clip / Obsolete

1964/66 F100/250 Custom Cab & 1965/66 F100/250 Ranger.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

At one time (don't know about today), Carolina Classics (919-682-4211 ~ Durham NC) had these clips, their part number: 378586

Purchased from Carolina Classic around 3 mo's ago; shortly after he was out of stock, there was some question whether he would be restocking? Suggest contact asap and do not post if restocked until you purchase the amount U need.

As of when I checked back in Jan/17, Carolina Classics has no stock. They told me to check with Melvin's Classic Ford Parts in Conyers, GA, as he was their source.
I called Melvin's, talked to his son Randy, they had 137. I ordered 24 for myself, and posted on here & slick60's to let everyone know......within 24 hours, all stock was gone!!
Randy has been looking into commissioning another run, but last I heard the quotes were pretty spendy, compared to what it cost the last time eleven years back when his dad (Melvin) had some made.
Best bet is to contact them, as if they get enough pre-orders, they may consider it, but I don't think they were ready to whack out the $$$ and have it take another 11 years to sell the production run, particularly when the cost has gone waaaaaaayyyy up.

All I can tell you is if no one repops them in the near future, you best be looking in all the boxes under tables @ any swap meets you attend!!

I talked to Randy at Melvin's about 2 months ago and was put on the list in case they did the order.

I just had an email from Randy @ Melvin's Classic Ford Parts, he has commissioned another run of the Custom Cab Inner door insert trim clips.
He's supposed to let me know when they arrive, along with pricing, but doesn't expect them before mid July (and mfgr's don't always deliver when promised:)

I'll post again when they've actually landed......
