Truck thinks trailer is connected

Good evening,

We just got our new trailer got it all setup got our back up assist setup. Now everytime I start the truck it reverts to the trailer towing info screen vs the trip/fuel it did before. This even happens when the trailer is not connected. Do I have a setting wrong or somthing?

Thanks

All good, after posting my google fu started working found the answer. Had to set it to no active trailer.

Don't feel bad I did the same thing lol. It was driving me crazy for 3 days before i realized you had to set it back to no trailer.

Me too. I think it is an easy trap to fall into. :-X0A6

Hmmmm. Whenever I disconnect my trailer and harness, it goes back to nothing all by itself...

Maybe they changed the newer MY? Mine's a 2015.

Mine is a 2015 and reverts back on its own also.

Mine's a 2016 and it reverts back once the trailer is disconnected. I did have the trailer connected issue on my 2012 F150. It was always after towing the car hauler, never with any other trailer.

Mine did it when i was screwing around with setting and set up both of my trailers with out them connected. I didn't know you had to set it back to no trailer. But for fun i hooked up my utility trailer and it went to the default trailer, and when when i unplugged it, it went back to normal. All my trailers are 7 pin becuase i don't like adapters and that's all my jeep had lol.

I would try hooking it back up, let it prompt you for the trailer then disconnect it. It seems like if you manually set it it will stick but if the truck auto detects it then it will go away on its own. I need to set up my camper tonight so i will mess with it some more.

My '15 did not revert back to no active trailer but my '17 does. However the '17 brings back the trailer screen on the menu the next time you start it up even without a trailer connected

if you change active trailer back to none it should stop, mine was doing the same thing.
