Called after work today but the office was closed (7:30ish). I'll try to make time on lunch tomorrow. :-drink

Well, I just can't convince Becky on this one. We both really want to join in, but she's just too worried that Michael won't let us appreciate the cave. I wish I was booking rather than posting this. But it is what it is. We may be back in the mix for 2020 depending on location, I just don't have the vacation time to get west in 19. By that point kiddo will be near 4 and we should have a bit more flexibility.

Scott, although the cave is the obvious main attraction, there are plenty of other activities in the area. If the kids don't like the cave, you aren't stuck twiddling your thumbs at the campground.
I finally received my email confirmation from Jellystone yesterday. Although it doesn't specifically mention the site number I have been given, it does show the rate, the dates, and the deposit. Good to go now. Just need June of 2018 to get here soon! |

I can understand that, for sure. Hopefully things will turn around between now and then. Even within the campground, there is lots of stuff for kids - if you guys wanted to take shifts, or find a babysitter that you trust, who has no interest in caves.

I've got to text David (dlibson) as he said he was really interested in next years trip. I don't think he's been on this thread so I'll make sure he gets on if he's still thinking he's going. He was another one who booked Maine this year but had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.

We need to stop "unforeseeing" things!

It's indeed tough when you "misunderestimate" your future schedule...
|
Someday, I hope to "misoverestimate" my schedule, but I suspect the even retirement won't fix that.

So, Mammoth continues to have phone issues. I tried calling for a couple days and it rang and rang often going to a busy signal after a bunch of rings. Then I got right through yesterday one time. When I tried them back 5 minutes later to check on Dougs reservation nothing but ringing again and yet Monty and Doug both got right through. Then today, Chad get's the eternal ring routine. Strange. The next guy who calls them and get's through should mention this to them...

OK, so Chad got booked today and Monty's partner booked yesterday so we are good. Can everyone post their dates and site numbers if you know them so I can update the sheet?
They are still having trouble with their phones and they know it. Both of the above parties had to email to get through and got an immediate call back. So, if anyone else is looking to book and can't get through, drop them an email. I did try texting David but I guess he's out as he never texted me back. |
