Numbers On Rocker Arms, What Do They Mean

i have been cleaning on parts out of my 69 460. on the rockers there is some numbers. they are all different. most of them have a "g" on top row then two numbers, a space then one number, or a letter. what are these for if anything and why do they not match. these numbers are on the top of the rocker, same end as the pushrod. the rockers are ford rockers, they have fo mo co, which i assume means ford motor company.
also a piston question. the pistons have two half moon shapes on each piston. one curves up the othe curves down. are these their for valve clearance or to lower compression a small bit. are these considered flat top pistons.
what would factory comp. be on a 69 460 out of a lincoln.

thanks for info

Numbers On Rocker Arms, What Do They Mean

The numbers could be mold numbers, or maybe date codes.

The notches in the pistons are for valve clearance. If there are two in opposite directions, that's so that the pistons could go in either bank. Note that the intake valve is in the opposite position on the opposite bank.

I think someone has changed pistons - I think the factory pistons on a 69 are truely flat top without any notches at all.
