Husky weather beaters don't sit flush?
I asked husky support about the lifting of the edges on the matts and was told to place them in a warm place to allow them to relax. It really did not seem to do much.
Is is this just how they are? Seems like the weather tech fit better. I do not like that the husky liners hit my back door. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...f734eac679.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...60fcf4c896.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...0a64e64a1f.jpg Can anyone else comment if this is same for all or am I just special? |
The driver side mat looks like it's not snapped onto the factory holders. The gap above the door sill plates does decrease with a little time. The driver side on mine is flush on top of the sill and the passenger side is about a quarter inch above. I expect that the summer heat may close that gap entirely.

I sure hope heat closes the gap. Brought them inside for a day to warm up as per Husky's advice. It did not change the fit. Plus the truck cab gets completely warmed up on long trips.
Not or very happy with the fit out of box but I guess time will tell. A lot of folks on here live in warmer climates so figured would ask if others had same issue. |
Are they the weather beater or exact contour floor mats from husky What I mean is Are they the hard plastic ones or the softer rubber ones
|
Supposedly you can also heat them carefully with a heat gun and bend them as needed, I don't have my truck available to get a picture, but I think mine are all the way down and are the weather beaters

I have the same set. They fit perfect and lay flat. They do not slide around like the weather tech mats.:-X22

It is. At one point pushed it so hard the entire insert came out and I had to snap it back together.
If they don't adjust when weather warms to +15 I am going to follow up further. |
Use a heat gun on the edges that need adjusting. I've done this several times with my weather techs.
