And the winner is........Bickford. Paid more but as a high volume dealer I have a better chance of actually getting my truck this year. Plus they are only 2 miles away.
Bill Pierre took 1 hr and 45 minutes to complete a build sheet, even though I brought one with me, and told me upfitter switches were a fleet only item. Add to that a 45 minute drive from home. They did have an attractive price, but convenience won out. Korum out of Bellvue was adding $783 for 'government fees', ie: license and registration which should only be around $350. Anyway, it's a done deal now for me. Thanks to all who provided info. I looked into them all. |
If I may, I'd highly recommend Michael Long in service. He has treated us very well and when he gives an estimate if it takes less, you pay less. Come to find out he worked with my brother in law at the local RR, Bentley, Lambo., Jag and Range Rover dealership. Very knowledgeable, he was a mechanic at the high end joint. My brother couldn't praise the guy enough. What I like the best, absolutely NO BULLCRAP!

No the sales tax is based on the rate where you live not where the dealer is located.
That's the good news, the bad news is WA state gifted itself an extra .3 % sales tax on vehicles so add that to your rate. I'm 7.7% and had to pay 8%.:-arrgh "Sales of motor vehicles, trailers, semi-trailers, aircraft, and watercraft. Sales tax will continue to be based on the seller’s location even if the seller delivers the items to customers." |
I bought mine from Bickford a few weeks ago. Best experience I have had with a dealer. You will be happy.

I got a great deal at Sunset Ford in Sumner. They also include oil changes for life and powertrain warranty for life. All other things being equal, that's a great deal. I was very happy with their customer service. I got about 5k off msrp.
