Leveling 2015 6.7L 4wd
 

I want to level my 2015 Crew 4wd and called a few shops to see if they had the Rough Country 2" spacer kit. Install looks super easy for anyone and I figured I get it. Both shops I called said on 2015 250's you have to do front and back to level. What gives? Is this BS or accurate?

Rough country doesn't specify any difference between a 2005 - 2017 F250 or F350.

When I used to have a F250 many moons ago, I never saw it as being off enough to need leveling. Do you have that much of a rake?

I don't want to say the shop is trying to get you to do more work that you need or want, but maybe they have a reason? It it's a reputable 4WD shop they probably have a lot of experience doing these and should be able to show you why you need a different kit.

Most f250s have shorter blocked in the rear spring pack. If it is like 2" then yeah if you level/lift the front you'd want to lift the back assuming the front springs are still at factory height. That being said I ordered ready lift 1.5 spacer for the front of my f350 and have been happy thus far. Have a .5" rake that I like.

So that being said, on a 2015 4wd, a 1.5" spacer upfront only like Rough Country sells would put you damn near level?

None they fit with no lift


Take a tape measure and determine how your truck sits now. Then decide how much you want to 'lift' it front and rear. There are many factors how a particular truck sits and what someone thinks is 'level'.

It did for me, but measure it first, then buy if you are ready to pull trigger

There are many flavors, this is what I landed on.

295/65/20's on my stock wheels with stock suspension. A bit of rubbing the radius arms at full lock, but manageable.

And this will also occur with 295/65/20s on OEM wheels when leveled, unless the radius arms have been changed to 3 link arms or radius arms which are offset.

This is true. The reason for my comment being worded how it was, was more so he would realize the clearance in the wheel wells was sufficient without a lift. There IS rubbing, but only on the radius arms, and nowhere else. AS you said, it will absolutely rub the radius arms with or without a lift, running those tires on stock rims.

I will try it without the leveling kit first, easy enough to install after. I will not be running stock rims. I am trying to figure out the offset I will need as I am also going to add Bushwacker pocket fender flares.

When I got my truck I drove over to the tire store and put on Toyo AT/2 295/65R20 on 20x9 -12offset wheels. I drove that for about 3 weeks before I got my leveling kit. I had no rubs with a stock F350 4x4
