Ford f-100 1960 Trailer Hitch.

Hello.

Hope somebody here can help me.

I am located in Denmark and i have a 1960 Ford f-100 pickup with stepside bed. I want to build a trailer Hitch on the car, but the laws in Denmark are very strict:(. Do anybody have some documentation on the original trailer hitch ? this could be an old commercial or brochure or papers showing information about the hitch and how much weigth it allowed to tow.
with this info i can get the car approwed with the trailer hitch.

Best regards and many greetings from Denmark:).

Mads Madsen.

Trailer Hitch

Hi Mads. I had what I believed was a Ford approved bumper with a 2" ball. If Numbers Dummy sees this post he may be able to confirm if Ford offered such a thing. I sold it a couple of years ago but here are a couple of pics that may help. It did bolt directly to the frame.

I installed a Reese multi fit hitch number 37042 that I picked up at Walmart. It bolted up to two holes in the frame and I drilled two new holes. Pretty easy and seems like a good fit. I haven't towed with it yet. Bought it to tow a vintage trailer.
