Replacing Converter, Replace Flexplate?

I'm putting in a new converter in my 4R100 equipped Excursion with 150K, relatively stock. I don't see any stress signs with the original flexplate but since I don't want to have to pull it again any time soon, should I replace it anyways since the trans is out and its getting a new TC?

For the price of one, I would say yes. Mine has just broke (I think at least) so this subject is a little sore with me right now lol

Do you have any mods? This will determine if you need to get one or not.

I just realized I might not be as relatively stock as I was. I just rebuilt the gtp38 with a WW2, BD Wastegate, EPBV delete, and have a TS chip I keep on 50 hp setting. This current repair job has me also doing the up pipes as well. I have an ATS intake and a MBRP 4" turbo back.

it makes sense to me to replace it with another stocker while everything is torn down, but with all the threads of multiple cracked flex plates I'm nervous. Is it mostly a 99 SD only issue or do all years tend to crack frequent?

also, I tow infrequently, <5k and I don't hammer on the truck.

Buddys' 03 cracked with 140k-ish, few years back. All stock...

Thanks all, I ordered a new one to be safe...

I did mine at about 300K miles when other work in there was being done.
