1950 ford f1 front bearing service
Looking ahead while I wait on some machine work, I want to service the front hub bearings since I have no idea how long it's been since its been touched. Thinking new parts while I am in there.
What at kind of tools am I going to need for that? The manual doesn't really show any bearing cup or oil seal presses that I can see but I would assume I need those? JB |
Jack & jackstand
Screwdriver to pry cap off Pliers to remove cotter pin large wrench to remove nut that holds the bearing in place. |
No special tools needed for front wheel bearing service on these old trucks. Drive the seal out and replace it. If you need to remove a race, a punch will work.

The seal is CR 17599, NAPA and just about everyone else stocks them.
