New thread idea for us. I'll kick it off with tin snips. I learned a thing or two from this guy.

Pretty good. I learned a few things too. Unfortunately, I don't think I am ever going to own a set of Snap-on snips.

I really enjoyed watching a pro give us all a good lesson, and I sure learned some things, too.

Because I wasn't sure what brand my snips are, I went out to the toolbox where they're kept to see. They're Wiss MetalMaster. A problem though, one of them is missing!!!

I'll look deeper tomorrow....

If it has to do with tech, it's youtube and teenagers for the how tos. You have to sort through a few to find the wizzes that speak well, but they are there. I once watched an adult try to show how to fix an iPhone, and about a minute thirty in, he goes, "OOPS!"

Lemme ask a question. Try to think of the worst thing you could say while recording a how-to?

My guess Oops will be pretty close to the top!

Not exactly a how-to, but some great info here when you have a little time to listen.

Here is a simple one. For starting hard to reach spark plugs. It is even handy for the not-so-hard-to-reach spark plugs.

The snip video was pretty good. Worked with sheetmetal for years and was never taught those techniques. Had to learn on the fly after some ruined metal, fittings, and busted snips!! Fortunately I always bought the Craftsman brand at Sears. I believe they were made by Malco, but rebranded for Sears. Lifetime replacement warranty was awesome while it lasted. :-jammin

Thanks Bill, I'm due for the 2nd plug change at 200K. I recall using a socket with a rubber piece inside that held the plug. Likely that rubber is cracked now.

Nice thing about the hose is that it will bend to any angle, or combination of angles. Just need a longer piece of hose.
