Power Liftgate won't open by remote but does open/close using dash button??
 

2010 Ford Expedition EB
So the power liftgate won't open using the remote, the button on the inside of the handle or the button inside of the back trunk area. It does unlock the tailgate but it won't automatically lift, you have to manually lift the door. Thought maybe the motor went out but I tried the tailgate lift button on the dash and it opens and closes fine. I'm so confused. Any ideas? I tried unplugging the battery for a minute but that didn't work.

Also when I push the liftgate button on the inside of the trunk area it just beeps.

Mine just opens, but does not close -- beeps, but no power to close it..

It is just a thought, (and sorry for this being almost a year outdated!) but could your battery be too low to open the gate? Have you tried opening the gate with the truck running? My first thought is that the battery just has enough to get the truck started, but not enough to get the gate up when it is not running...

By the way - I truly hope this was resolved LONG ago!

I had the same issue. I went into the system settings in the truck, turned the power lift gate <OFF> and then went back in and turned it back <ON>. Everything works as advertised.
