Hood Installation

Put the hood back on yesterday and have a couple of questions.

First, the rubber bumpers that go on the lower edges to protect the fenders are three different thicknesses. Do the thinner ones go toward the front and the thicker ones to the back, or vice versa?

Second, how wide should the gap between the hood and the fenders be? It seems like there's too much space there and the rubber bumpers don't make any contact with the fenders regardless of whether the thicker ones are on the front or back.

On mine, the thicker ones are in the front. Here is a picture of the hood closed. Gap seems pretty even.

Beautiful trucks. Is that meadow green paint?

Yes, Meadow Green. My friend who's helping me paint the truck didn't like it at first but he's starting to change his mind, especially after we installed the Argent Silver grill. I'm really like the combination.

Guys, thanks for the compliments. Any thoughts about the width of the gap? It seems like its too wide, especially toward the back of the fender.

Is the hood pushed up higher at the cowl
Would like another pic of the cowl in a profile shot and any other pic you have

There's new cowl lacing under the hood so it may be slightly higher but not enough to make much difference in the gap below. Also, the lower latch plate hasn't been installed up front yet so it may close a little tighter when it's latched. Still, in the back it seems to be as far down as it's going to go. We're thinking the fenders may be sitting too low. Here's some more pictures:
