Four link rear? Yay or Nay.
Got a Flareside. Thinking of doing a four link rear on it. Has anyone tackled doing it yet? It is a two wheel drive F100.

No one on here has done it that I have ever seen. I have seen it done on a few other websites. Very nice, very fancy, and a lot of money and a lot of work. I am not sure if they make a kit for these trucks, they do make universal fit kits.
The factory used leaf springs because they are simple and cheap. |
Kind of hard to say "Yay or Nay" when we do not know how the truck will be used.
If like a truck and the bed will have a load or pulling a heavy trailer Nay on the 4 link. If used as a hot rod, no load in bed or pulling a trailer then Yay. Dave ---- |

No more changes in pinion angles when loaded. Better ride Adjustable They make kits for the 99-up f350's. |
They also have a lot more wear points to keep an eye on.
I hate the IFS on the new 4x4 trucks and how fast they wear out parts like ball joints and pivot point bushings. Never had that happen on a straight axle 4x4 even after 230k on it. just my .02 Dave ---- |
How good are your welding skills?
