Still hot here.

It is 106 today and 107 tomorrow. So it is still to hot to take the Falcon out of the garage to take pictures. Maybe in early September the weather will change.
Starting up the 511 ci FE in the garage makes the walls shake.
:D

I can imagine }>

It's only hit around 95 here on Long Island the past few days, but the humidity is so high it's ridiculous.

Last year we took a trip around the USA and we experienced 40% humidity, which was a killer for us, because we don't have humidity out here. Our friends in Maryland say they see 90% humidity. :-hair

Our paper says it will be 108 degrees here today, with about 7% humidity. The highest temperature for us was 118 degrees July 20th, 1988.

AFAIK, September 9, 1949 was the last time it snowed in the L/A basin. T'was my birthday and mom took a pic of me standing in the backyard with snowflakes a fallin.'

I moved to California in 1946, probably before you were born. And no,,, September is not the hottest month in California. Normally July and August. I lived in San Bernardino "southern Ca." until 1972, then up to Northern California. Both places July and August are the warmest on average. June and September can get warm.
