Auto to Manual Tranny Swap
 

I have a 1990 F250 460 2WD with a 5 speed manual. (don't know the name of the tranny??)
and I was wondering if it will fit a 1996 F250 7.3 4x4 with an automatic.

It's a zf5 s42 trans.
No it will not fit. The bell housing is different. You'll need a tranny from a 7.3

7.3s have different bellhousing bolt pattern than the 460 or 300/302/351
