Slight fender bender...... (f150 vs ridgeline)

An employee was backing my truck up, at the exact moment another employee was coming into work.

Initial estimates are $1700 for the 150 (700 of it is a tail light) Includes a lot of removing parts and measuring.

$4600 for the ridgeline. (he had to get out through the pass side door)

The employees with the ridgeline just got it back a couple weeks ago, (it was not driveable for the previous 3 months due to the airbag recall.

I had a ridgeline 15 months ago.

Ha, I have a ridgeline and my next truck is an F-150. Currently my truck is at the dealership for airbag recall. Been there since March and may get it back early Fall. Free rental-not all bad.

If its not an led, that tail light is $55.00 @ Auto Nation White Bear Lake with a $100.00 Core charge. At least the passenger side that i replaced was that price. Its the body work, that cost soooo much. I replaced my in 10 minutes.

The damage seems disproportionate favoring the Ford, just wondering if the Ford is a max tow with the heavier rear bumper or if it's just a bad angle for the Honda?

I think just a bad angle, my truck is not the max tow.

The guy with the Honda came to get me and was like " well this debate is settled". Walked outside, saw the Honda, and figured my truck was just as bad.... Couldn't believe my eyes

Don't think the towing package would have changed the outcome of that one. My '13 was a Max Tow truck, and the only change was the guts of the hitch underneath the center of the bumper. I know the '15 is a different design, but I don't see why that part would change much. I always thought it odd that they referred to it as an "Upgraded Rear Bumper" on the order guide.

Definitely a bad angle and point of impact for the Honda, if it had been a square impact things wouldn't look nearly as bad. Nobody was hurt though, so the designs served their purpose. :-X22
