Tires and Rim suggestions
On my truck, I blew a driver rear tire over the weekend. It kind of sucked, because I dont have a spare and I hadnt planned on changing tires just yet. So here I am now looking for suggestions on tires. I currently have 35x12.50x15 Mud Terrain KM2. I want to stay with the same size tire. I was looking for something a little more streetable, I dont do any off roading, but I like the aggressive tire look. I also would like something that would handle snow pretty well. I like the look of the General AT2. Any suggestions?
Also what size rim should I go with? Im thinking of going with a stock steel rim, so I can put dog dish hub caps on it. |
I've been looking at these for mine. Very aggressive tread but are rated good on/off the road. (check youtube videos for reviews on them)
Cooper Discoverer STT PRO |
I was looking at those. I was also looking at the Cooper Discoverer St Maxx. It doesnt look as aggressive, thinking it might ride better on the highway.

I had OGoodyear Wrangler duratracs on my company truck up in ND and never once slid on ice or snow. I did some pretty heavy oil field road traveling too. Also, next to no road noise. They're what I will be getting for my powerstroke when I finally have to get tires.

i highly recommend the STT's. i have had several sets on my half ton farm truck. They have awesome traction for use on the farm, and the highway life is excellent. They are made from a harder rubber than most other all-terrain or mud tires, which is why they last so long. I hope Cooper keeps them around for a long time, cuz im sold on them

I assume you have a 4x4. How much of a lift did you put on it for 35s? I plan on doing 35s on mine down the road and want the make sure the front clears.
