97 f350 348,00 rough running help!!!!!!
 

Im chasing my tail guys. Truck runs fine cold and at op temp for a while but then out of no where it looses power. Struggles to run and it idles rough. Let it cool down and all is well. When it acts up, it doesnt smoke. Doesnt throw any codes. Gauges look fine. Any ideas on what may cause this?

Yank fuel filter and see if black.

If it is then new orings on injectors needed.

If not then check EBP sensor for blockage.

Maybe change CPS just so you know you have a good one. Use Motorcraft one as off brand Dont hold up well.

Forgive the ignorance. What is the ebp sensor? I looked at the fuel fikter and it looked purple ish color. Im assuming due to the color of filter from previous owner

Sounds more like an IPR ( injector pressure regulator) when they start going bad the coil heats up and does as you describe. Throw some water at it when it acts up if fixes it you have found your problem.
PS. The IPR is on the hpop (high pressure oil pump) on the bottom in front of the fuel bowl.

Could be just the IPR O rings. How does it start when its hot?

Well its hit and miss. At op temp sometimes it starts fine. Today it ran at an hour before just going to crap. The day it did it i was driving it for 2 hrs straight going to ft bragg. Drove fine and then boom, it did it for the first time. But once it does it, it wont restart and run properly until its cooled down some
