@Medic looks sweet, definitely like the style of those headache racks.

@darkjedi great setup, very functional too. Does your seat fold forward or just lean like my 99ĒSB?

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...f3c9c5e010.jpg$6 15amp spst lighted switch directly into fuse 39 mirror heat circuit.
Got a pair of Power towing mirrors that came with lighted sides for running lights and turn indicators as well as heat. The factory mirrors were standard non towing power non heated type, but the circuit exists for heated mirror capabilities but the 2003-2007 dont have switches they are simply always on when the key is on. Took me about an hour to remove and replace the mirrors then about 20 mins to install the switch to activate /deactivate mirror heat.

yea my 2017 replica mirrors i just put on are heated and it's always on on my 04 f350 as well. i thought my old OEM towing mirrors were heated, but not sure. they had the little logo so i think they were, but controlled by the defrost option. not really sure to be honest, but the new 2017 style mirrors are always hot now, and i didn't want that, so i simply pulled the fuse. i would have wired a switch like you did, but being in florida, i never once have used or wanted to use heated mirrors, so i figured i didn't need a switch.

I decided that perhaps I might be insane, but started looking and aquireing parts for the 2008+ conversion, perhaps I need to check my self into a mental place?? already have the mirrors installed and they work great!!

also bought a power inverter 1000W for the truck so I can have things like the tablet plugged in and free up the power port that is currently getting used.

Don't do it, much easier and less expensive for an 05+ front end. 08+ back looks nice too.

McNasty customs does a 08+ Raptor style front end though.

It's an alternative to airbags with zero maintenance. Just a real large rubber bumper. Helps with load. I had airbags on a previous truck (F150) and didn't want to do that again and by a compressor etc.

When no load, my truck has a factory ride. Thank me will tell how they hold up and really work but I haven't heard any bad things on them.

cool, i may look into them for my 04 dually. i don't tow/haul heavy often, but when i do, at times i wish i had airbags to level the rear end back up. in the future i plan to install my 2 ViAir comps and tank i have for on board air, and may use those for bags, but that's not anytime soon. im gonna look these up now and price them out. do they only go in the back, or can you put up front too (although if it's essentially a large bumpstop so to speak, i can't see them being needed often up front).

thanks for the info!

They do make them for fronts.
Also when you price them out, you'll see the price is the same no matter where you look. I researched that for a week and didn't find any price difference.

living in FL i doubt youd ever need them. but i do recall summer mornings early driving down into Dubuque next to the Mississippi, that the fog rolls in and the mirrors would fog over, i would flip the heated mirror switch on my semi and within moments i could see out of them again. i did a write up on how to do it, real easy. just look up heated mirrors or check my posts until you find it. i just got done doing another wiring project for when some laser components come in to do a green laser camper alignment device.

yea you're right. i will check your post though, i may very well do it just so they're there incase i need them for some reason. the fuse i pulled is actually still in my console now that i think about it lol, i could always put the fuse back in if i need to heat them up hahaha.
