discontinued ford parts?

Hey all,
Does anyone have any website that they know of that carry discontinued ford parts? My father went into the local dealership today to look for some braking components for his 89 F350, and they said they no longer are produced or stocking. If I recall, brakes are one of those things you need ;). I have the actual Ford numbers for the parts needed, but all the normal sites that I have checked for parts dont have them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Rich

Please tell us exactly what you are looking for.
I believe you can buy pretty much everything for your brake system in the aftermarket, lines, pads, shoes, drums, rotors, master cylinder, booster, all can be had.

E8TZ3131B and E8TZ3130B. From what my dad tells me, they are either left and right (or top and bottom) knuckle assembles that hold the calipers in place. His drivers side caliper is loose and needs these parts to make them kosher again. The parts guy at the dealership said that they go for 458 a piece! If I cant find these parts, I dont even want to think about what we will have to do to make it work....

All dealerships seem to have the universal language, that if the manufacturer stops producing it, it's no longer available. To us ordinary people, it means: they no longer hold the patent on it and now those parts are being produced for pennies by the WTO that keeps our economy in a hole..
The parts are being made, just not sold through your local dealership after 10 years.
Talk with you guys later....

I have already tried Gren Sales, they had nadda. I figured they would be the first to have the peices. I am at a loss for these stupid parts. Does anyone know if I can get these off of a junkyard truck?

try LMC or NPD. They both have a catalog for our trucks. NPD has a better selection imo.

Did the Ford parts guy take the time to run the numbers on their locator?

Look at OP it is from 8-14-03, I would believe that maybe jw07 is looking to see if anyone knows where to find parts.

To jw07, maybe try junk yard or posting in the wanted adds.
