That sucks man. What are you going to do with it?

Alec Blanchard 05-01-2016 06:28 PM

I have a spare rust free frame in the yard, so I suppose I throw my axle under it, put the driveline and engine (rebuilt at this point) in the frame. Then go on a hunt for a new cab.

Sorry to this. Hopefully no one was hurt. Sucks about the truck.

That sucks man, glad your ok, was the cab rusty?

Alec Blanchard 05-01-2016 07:12 PM

Oh yeah we're fine, it was actually kinda fun, I'm used to destroying all kinds of beaters so I was expecting for **** to go south as soon as she hit the ditch. No the cab was rust free. The cab was fine till Hydro dropped the pole on it. It was actually sitting about an inch above the cab before they got there. But pulling it out of the ditch did the most damage to the rest of the frame for sure. It's so twisted and warped right now. It actually sat straighter in the ditch than previous to the accident.

Glad you are ok. What caused it)

So the gravel road was crap to begin with, and while I was avoiding a pothole I guess I got too close to the edge for the condition of the road, and the embankment gave out underneath me. From then on its just going farther into the ditch. If I steered away I probably would've rolled. Anyways at the point if no return there's nothing you can do so I just laughed and said this is gonna be cool. I laughed until I saw the tow bill lol. It's all part of the adventure I guess. Next time (starting tomorrow), I'll build it better.
