my truck didn't come with the SUPER DUTY logo across the top of the windshield like some trucks I've seen. can anyone give me a part number or point me to a place that sells them. The ford house here says his computer may not have been updated and does not show it.

I bought my truck in Feb 03 and it came with the windshield logo. On the first road trip, it took a big rock and upon replacing it I found out through my insurance company and glass repair shop that it is only a Ford part and no aftermarket replacement was available. The shop said that with time, someone would probably start making it. The price difference was something like $250 vs $450 and even though I had insurance ($100 deductible) I let them put the plain one in. They do look good but between ordering it and the additional cost it didn't seem worth it. Hopefully the aftermarket companies will start making them. Call another Ford dealer to get one. Good luck.

carlite makes the glass for ford, any glass shop can order it. the nags # they use is DW 01522 GTY
